Breathworks for Health and Stress

Join us in-person for this 7-week Mindfulness for Health course, an ideal opportunity to learn or return to mindfulness as a way of boosting your health and wellbeing. The course is a tried and tested way of dealing more creatively with pain, illness and anxiety, as well as the stresses and strains of everyday life.

Please note:

The course will be in-person, with social distancing, and you will be asked to wear face masks for small-group work (unless you are exempt). There is no online option.

The course requires a minimum of 8 people to be viable and the number of bookings will be capped to allow for social distancing – so please book early to avoid disappointment.

The Breathworks Mindfulness for Health course is an intensive programme that offers a transformative approach to living well with pain, illness and stress.  In fact whatever your circumstances we have found that the course is beneficial to anyone who wants to learn to live mindfully. Whether you are new to mindfulness or an old hand in want of a timely reminder, all are welcome to take advantage of this excellent opportunity to learn how to life a mindful and creative life*.

Most courses have around 10-15 participants who meet every week for a couple of months (2 and a half hours per session, including a break). During the sessions there are guided mindfulness practices, teaching, discussion and workshops. Every week we ask you to do your best to complete daily home practice as this will help you to embed mindfulness into the fabric of your daily life. We aim to create a supportive environment where you can explore and share your experiences, building connections with like-minded people, which is often a real added benefit of the course.

During the course you will be encouraged to follow the excellent input from Vidyamala Burch and Danny Penman in their best-selling book Mindfulness for Health, which won the British Medical Association award for Best Book (Popular Medicine) in 2014.
